Cord Fr Crib 5 Indigo

Cord Fr Crib 5 Indigo has a deep, cool blue tone and a finely ribbed surface that gives the plain cloth its character. The narrow vertical cords create a subtle rhythm across the swatch, while the dark shade absorbs light between the raised lines.

About this fabric

The visible construction is a close-set vertical cord, with slim raised ribs running consistently from top to bottom. Its indigo colour sits between navy and blue-black, giving the fabric a shadowed, grounded appearance rather than a bright or saturated finish. Gentle changes in the light pick out the cord texture without introducing a contrasting pattern. As a textile SKU catalogued for upholstery, this weighty-looking ribbed surface is particularly suited to seating and other pieces where texture is an important part of the design.

How to use it

Use this cool indigo on a statement armchair, sofa or dining seat to bring depth to a room without adding a printed motif. Pair it with warm timber, pale stone and softly coloured neutrals so the fine vertical ribs remain visible against the darker blue ground.

A cool, dark indigo cord with fine vertical ribs for tactile upholstered seating.

Pairs well with

Cord Fr Crib 5 Indigo is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
