Hue Steel
Hue Fabric
Hue Steel is a restrained, cool grey textile with a finely interlaced surface. Its softly varied threads create a low-contrast crosshatch that gives the plain colour quiet depth rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric
The swatch reads as a muted steel grey, with subtle lighter and darker threads running horizontally and vertically through the weave. Its compact, even texture has enough visual structure to sit comfortably on upholstery while retaining the adaptable character of a mid-weight cloth suitable for drapery. The close-up surface catches the light gently, revealing a delicate linen-like irregularity without a pronounced motif. No further composition, width or performance specification is supplied for this exact fabric.
How to use it
Pair Hue Steel with pale oak, chalky whites and cool stone for a calm contemporary scheme, or use it to temper stronger blue-green accents. Its quiet crosshatched texture works particularly well on tailored seating and understated curtains.
Use this cool steel-grey weave to bring quiet texture and tailored depth to seating, cushions or softly structured window treatments.

Hue Steel is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
