Utility Fabric

Crunch Balsam is a deep, muted blue-green textile with a charcoal cast. Its surface shows softly irregular vertical shading, giving the colour a subdued, weathered depth rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

The colour sits between dark teal and charcoal, with a cool balsam character that becomes lighter in some areas as the surface catches the light. Fine vertical marks, cloudy tonal passages and gentle creasing create a low-contrast, tactile appearance without a defined motif. The supplied record notes no performance features for this fabric.

How to use it

Pair Crunch Balsam with pale timber, warm stone and softened cream to temper its cool depth, or use it with charcoal and aged metal for a more enveloping scheme. Its quiet tonal texture is well suited to substantial seating, relaxed curtains or coordinated upholstery and drapery.

Use this dark blue-green textile to bring quietly atmospheric depth to upholstery, curtains or layered schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
