Flicker Rust

Volume Fabric

Flicker Rust combines a warm rust-terracotta ground with fine, pale horizontal streaks that drift across the woven surface. The close-up reveals a softly irregular texture rather than a sharply defined pattern.

About this fabric

The colour reads as earthy and warm, sitting between burnt terracotta and muted rust, while lighter threads add gentle contrast across the face. Irregular horizontal bands create a flickering, broken-line effect, with the weave giving the surface visible depth and tactile variation. The compact-looking woven structure has a versatile, quietly relaxed character suited to upholstery and drapery applications.

How to use it

Pair Flicker Rust with warm timber, aged brass and oatmeal neutrals to draw out its earthy terracotta tone. Its broken pale striping also works well alongside plain cream or soft brown upholstery for a layered, textural scheme.

Use this warm rust weave to bring earthy colour and subtle horizontal texture to upholstery or softly structured window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
