About this colour

At #A0A07D, Normandy Grey reads as a warm, muted grey-green with enough depth to hold its own on walls, yet it still lifts the room more than a deeper sage or drab olive. In north-facing light it will lean cooler and a little more grey, with the green note becoming quieter and more restrained. In south-facing light the warmth comes forward, so the colour feels softer, sunnier and more olive. It sits well beside natural oak, aged brass, limestone tones and muted linens, and it also makes a strong but gentle backdrop for upholstered pieces in moss, camel, taupe or deep charcoal.

How to use it

Use it in sitting rooms, bedrooms or hallways where you want a calm neutral with a little more character than plain grey. It works especially well with painted joinery, walnut woodwork and upholstery in earthy, low-key shades.

A calm grey-green wall colour that changes gently with the light.
