Elba Damson is a plain linen in a deep, dusky damson shade, shifting between plum and brown across the softly folded surface. The fine woven texture gives this dark colourway a tactile, gently matte finish.

About this fabric
The close-up shows a tightly woven plain surface with no printed motif, while the folds create subtle bands of lighter dusty plum against the deeper damson ground. Its muted red-purple tone has a brown depth that feels richer and warmer than a clear violet, without becoming bright or saturated. Made from 100% linen and approximately 137cm wide, it is specified for curtains and fixed upholstery at General Domestic grade. Allow 3% shrinkage; after-care is Delicate Wash 30C or Dry Clean.
How to use it
Use Elba Damson to bring enveloping plum-brown depth to a reading chair, fixed seat or full-length curtain. Pair it with warm timber, aged brass and soft neutral walls so the linen’s muted purple tone remains the focus.
The deep damson-plum tone brings quiet richness to curtains, cushions and fixed upholstery, while the plain linen weave keeps it considered rather than ornate.
