About this fabric

This Pluto colourway has a dense, fine weave that reads as smooth and tailored rather than loose or slubby. Its deep burnt terracotta tone feels warm and slightly muted, with red-brown shadows that give the surface extra depth in changing light. The fabric is composed of 30% Cotton, 25% Viscose, 15% Linen and 30% Wool, and it is supplied at 137cm wide with a plain repeat. With a Martindale rub test of 40,000 and upholstery grade listed for Contract and General Domestic use, it is well suited to upholstery as well as curtains and loose covers. It is also FR rated to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1, and it can be dry cleaned with stain-resistant performance.

How to use it

Use this firebrick shade on a sofa or fixed upholstery to bring warmth into neutral rooms, or as curtains where the colour can glow against natural daylight. It works especially well with oak, tobacco leather and olive accents.

Pairs well with tan leather, warm oak and muted greens for a grounded scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
