Velvet Wonderland Velvet

We Built This City Heat Up is a densely patterned velvet in a warm, saturated mix of coral, berry, mustard, teal and navy. Its compact geometric repeat creates an energetic, tapestry-like surface across the swatch.

About this fabric

The velvet ground is filled with repeated vertical architectural forms, stepped blocks and small ornamental marks rather than a single large-scale motif. Coral and vivid pink-red areas bring heat to the colourway, while deep berry, navy and teal add contrast and visual depth. Mustard and muted olive accents pick out the smaller geometric details, giving the design a richly layered appearance. As a velvet textile, it is particularly suited to upholstery where this expressive pattern can be used on a feature chair, footstool or statement seat.

How to use it

Pair this warm, jewel-toned colourway with dark wood, aged brass and plain textiles in berry, teal or ochre. On a smaller upholstered piece, the repeated geometric pattern can add colour without requiring a separate feature wall.

Use this richly patterned velvet to bring coral, berry, mustard, teal and navy colour to an occasional chair or statement sofa.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
