Compass Amethyst

Compass Fabric

Compass Amethyst has a cool, smoky grey-purple ground with delicate vertical markings that shift gently across the surface. Its close weave gives the colour a softly layered, tactile appearance.

About this fabric

Fine horizontal threads create a closely woven surface, while uneven vertical lines form a restrained, organic pattern. The amethyst tone is muted rather than bright, reading as charcoal grey touched with a cool purple cast. Slight tonal variation across the swatch prevents the surface from appearing flat, with the raised-looking threads catching the light subtly. As a fabric suitable for both upholstery and drapery, it offers a smart way to introduce pattern without strong contrast.

How to use it

Use Compass Amethyst against pale stone, chalk or cool grey walls to draw out its smoky undertones. It would also sit comfortably with dark timber and brushed metal, where its fine vertical pattern adds quiet structure.

A cool, textural woven pattern that brings understated depth to upholstery or drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
