About this fabric

This colourway reads as a shadowed damson, combining red-violet warmth with cooler blue-purple flecks that give the surface depth. Fine irregular fibres and tonal shifts catch the light gently, creating a softly mottled, tactile appearance. Its dense-looking woven structure makes it a natural choice for upholstered furniture where a richly coloured, non-directional surface is wanted. No composition, width or rub-test figures were supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Pair the deep damson tone with smoked timber, aged brass and dusky neutrals for a moody, tailored scheme. It would add particularly strong colour depth to a reading chair, ottoman or upholstered headboard.

Use this deep plum-purple textile to bring tonal depth to occasional chairs, headboards or tailored upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
