About this fabric

The design is formed from broad, even checks, with alternating sage and pale beige bands creating a relaxed windowpane effect. Fine herringbone-like texture is visible within the woven blocks, adding depth without making the pattern feel sharp or graphic. The red in this colourway reads as a restrained russet-brown warmth alongside the cooler sage, while the beige checks catch the light softly. The overall effect is tactile, gently rustic and well suited to upholstery where a woven check can be seen at close range.

How to use it

Use this sage-led colourway on a country armchair, bench or loose-cushion sofa, pairing it with warm timber, aged leather and natural linen. The russet threads can be echoed in terracotta ceramics or muted red accents without overpowering the softened green.

The softened sage ground and warm russet-beige checks bring an understated country character to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
