Freja Charcoal

Marika FabricCCF0488-03

Freja Charcoal pairs a cool, softly textured grey ground with ivory botanical fans and sweeping geometric stems. The woven surface gives the charcoal tone a gently mottled depth rather than a flat appearance.

About this fabric

This Studio G fabric is woven at 243gsm, with a usable width of 138cm and a standard length of 40m. Its repeating design combines stylised fan shapes, fine radiating lines and branching fronds in a crisp ivory shade against the charcoal-grey ground. Both the 23cm vertical repeat and 23cm horizontal repeat create a compact, balanced pattern that is easy to position across a project. The mid-weight construction makes Freja Charcoal suitable for both upholstery and drapery.

How to use it

Use Freja Charcoal to upholster a curved occasional chair, headboard or dining seat where the ivory Art Deco foliage can be seen clearly. It also works as a cool, tailored curtain or blind fabric, especially alongside pale stone, blackened metal and warm timber.

The cool charcoal-grey ground and ivory fan-shaped foliage bring a refined Art Deco feel to upholstery, curtains and cushions.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Freja Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
