About this fabric

The soft grey ground gives this colourway a quiet, silvery depth, while the white linework makes the shells, starfish and coral-like forms read clearly across the surface. Its closely arranged pattern has an ornamental, almost illustrated rhythm, softened by the restrained palette and fine surface texture visible in the swatch. At 224 gsm with a 130 cm usable width, it is a versatile mid-weight suitable for upholstery or drapery. The design has a 32 cm vertical repeat and a 47.5 cm horizontal repeat, allowing pattern placement to be planned accurately.

How to use it

Use Aquarium PVC Smoke where a room needs cool tonal texture rather than bold colour: it works on occasional upholstery, relaxed blinds or curtains alongside chalky whites, pale timber and brushed metal. The white marine detail can also add a subtly coastal note without making the scheme feel themed.

Use the cool smoke-grey ground and white marine motifs to bring a light, detailed finish to upholstery or curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Aquarium PVC Smoke without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
