Shellfish Ink

Marina Fabric FabricCCF0786-02

Shellfish Ink sets finely drawn lobster, crab and prawn illustrations against a pale shell-cream ground. The cool, deep ink-blue linework gives this colourway a crisp nautical feel without overwhelming the light background.

About this fabric

This 224gsm fabric combines an oyster-like cream ground with clearly defined ink-blue shellfish sketches, including lobsters, crabs and prawn-like forms. The motifs are arranged with plenty of light space around them, so the design reads as an airy repeat rather than a dense all-over image. It has a 137cm usable width and a 32cm vertical by 34.5cm horizontal pattern repeat. Supplied in a standard 40m length, Shellfish Ink is a versatile mid-weight option for both upholstery and drapery.

How to use it

Use Shellfish Ink on a window seat, occasional chair or loose cushion where the pale shell ground can brighten the room while the ink-blue drawings add definition. It also suits relaxed curtains alongside warm timber, natural fibres and understated blue accents.

Use this cool ink-and-shell colourway to bring an easy coastal character to upholstery, cushions or relaxed curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
