About this fabric

The warm ivory background is scattered with charcoal-grey birds, open wire cages, outlined butterflies and delicate flowering branches in blush pink, teal and muted mustard. Fine sketch-like linework keeps the varied motifs light against the pale ground, while the coloured butterflies and blossom clusters add small points of depth. At 224 gsm and 137 cm usable width, this is a versatile mid-weight textile suited to upholstery and drapery. The pattern has a 32 cm vertical repeat and a 68.5 cm horizontal repeat, allowing the bird-and-botanical composition to be planned across the 40 m standard length.

How to use it

Use Melodie Natural where its warm ivory base can brighten a room without feeling stark, such as relaxed curtains, occasional chairs or a small upholstered bench. Pair it with natural timber, soft linen and muted blush or teal accents to pick up the printed details.
