Kalapi Peacock

Caspian Wallpapers WallpaperSAW0143-01

Kalapi Peacock brings a procession of stylised peacocks to a pale, softly muted sage ground. The birds’ deep teal bodies and finely outlined ochre-and-green plumage create concentrated decorative panels against the open background.

About this fabric

The large peacock motifs are shown front-on, with layered fan tails picked out in teal, ochre, green and fine dark detailing. This colourway feels cool and slightly softened overall, while the saturated teal centres give the design depth and draw the eye. Supplied with a 52 cm usable width and a 64 cm vertical pattern repeat, it is provided in a standard 10.05 m length. The listed weight is 188 gsm, and the horizontal repeat is recorded as 0 cm.

How to use it

Pair the pale sage ground with natural timber, warm brass and deep teal accents to echo the birds without competing with their intricate tails. It would bring a quietly theatrical note to a dining room, bedroom or reading room.

Use the cool sage ground to temper the richly detailed teal and ochre peacock motifs in a study, bedroom or dining room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
