About this fabric

This colourway of Sultan’s Garden pairs cool teal blues with flashes of ruby pink-red, creating a fresh but slightly jewel-toned contrast across the design. The visible ground is soft and light, which lets the trees, panels and figurative motifs read crisply rather than heavily. With a usable width of 138 cm, a vertical pattern repeat of 89 cm and a horizontal repeat of 138 cm, it is set up as a broad, statement pattern that needs room to show properly. At 300 gsm and 19.5 threads per cm, it has the substance of a versatile furnishing fabric rather than a whisper-light cloth.

How to use it

Use it to bring colour to a neutral room, especially where the teal notes can pick up nearby glass, paint or tile. It would suit a feature chair, curtains or layered cushions in a scheme that can handle pattern at full scale.

A lively statement fabric that works well on relaxed seating or layered drapery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Sultan`s Garden Ruby/Teal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
