Porcelain Garden Rose/Duck Egg

Sanderson One Sixty Fabrics FabricSAF0049-01

Porcelain Garden Rose/Duck Egg has a fresh duck egg ground that makes the painted roses, trailing stems and birds feel airy rather than heavy. The repeat reads as a generous, decorative floral with a soft country-house lift.

About this fabric

This Sanderson One Sixty Fabrics cloth is 137 cm wide and has a substantial 300 gsm weight, which gives the printed design a pleasing body for upholstery use. The 73.5 cm vertical repeat and 68.5 cm horizontal repeat create a large, flowing pattern of blossoms, birds and curling branches that sits comfortably across bigger pieces. In this colourway, the ground is a pale porcelain duck egg with a cool, washed quality, while the foliage comes through in fresh leaf green and the flowers in soft pink, cream and blue-grey. The overall effect is light and refined, with enough pattern depth to keep it from looking flat.

How to use it

This duck egg version works well on an accent chair, ottoman or pared-back headboard where the painterly detail can be seen from a little distance. Pair it with pale timber, chalky paint colours and brushed brass for a room that feels calm but tailored.

Use on a statement chair or blind to let the painterly birds and roses read clearly.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Porcelain Garden Rose/Duck Egg without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
