Roslyn Berry/Slate

Sanderson One Sixty Fabrics FabricSAF0040-03

Roslyn Berry/Slate brings a bright berry-pink floral pattern to a soft cream ground, with slate-toned stems and outlining that keep the design grounded. The repeat reads bold and decorative, with a lively hand-drawn character in the motif.

About this fabric

This Sanderson One Sixty Fabrics cloth is a substantial 402gsm fabric with a usable width of 137 cm, so it has enough body for both structured soft furnishings and heavier window treatment. The pattern repeat is a generous 71 cm vertical by 69.5 cm horizontal, which suits the large-scale scrolls, blossoms and trailing foliage visible in the design. In this colourway the petals lean toward vivid berry pink, while the stems and outlines sit in a cool slate-grey, giving the whole print a crisp contrast against the pale cream ground. The woven face visible in the image has a lightly textured, natural-linen look that softens the formal scale of the motif.

How to use it

Pair Roslyn Berry/Slate with pale painted wood, muted greys and warm off-whites to let the berry notes stay fresh rather than overly sweet. It works especially well on a statement armchair, cushions or curtains where the large repeat can be appreciated.

Use it where you want a lively floral with a classic, slightly painterly feel.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Roslyn Berry/Slate without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
