About this fabric

The medium-scale plaid is built from broad burgundy and charcoal blocks, with russet sections, olive-grey accents and narrow ochre and cream lines crossing through the design. The close woven texture gives the surface a softly brushed, wool-like appearance, while the folds show darker and lighter shifts across the claret ground. This is a catalogued fabric with no further composition, width or performance specification supplied. Its substantial-looking weave makes it particularly suited to upholstery where the deep tartan can remain visually prominent.

How to use it

Use this claret colourway on a reading chair, footstool or country-style sofa, pairing it with dark wood, aged leather and warm neutral walls. Echo the russet and ochre threads with cushions or throws in tobacco, rust or muted olive.

A richly coloured tartan weave that brings relaxed country character and visual warmth to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
