About this fabric
This is catalogued as a fabric, with no performance features noted. In the photograph, the cloth reads as a deep turmeric-gold, with ochre warmth across the raised areas and darker olive-brown shading in the creases. The fine directional pile gives the plain surface a soft, closely brushed texture and a restrained lustre. With no motif to interrupt the velvet, the colour and changing light carry the design.
