Abstract 1928 Serpentine

Icons Fabrics FabricZOF0133-03

Abstract 1928 Serpentine brings a tightly tiled geometric composition to the swatch: sweeping navy curves, teal fields, olive blocks and cream angular accents sit against an inky ground. Its woven surface has a gently tactile appearance, adding depth to the cool, saturated palette.

About this fabric

At 402 gsm, this substantial textile is well suited to upholstery, with a 140 cm usable width for practical cutting. The design repeats every 65 cm vertically and 69 cm horizontally, creating a pronounced rhythm of arcs, triangles and fragmented geometric forms. Deep teal, petrol blue and navy give the colourway a cool, graphic mood, while moss olive and chalky cream introduce contrast without making it feel bright. Fine surface texture and 22 threads per cm soften the hard-edged geometry and help the darker tones read with depth.

How to use it

Use Abstract 1928 Serpentine on a tailored armchair, footstool or statement bench where its teal and navy arcs can be seen clearly. Balance the olive and cream accents with plain upholstery in a deep blue, muted green or warm off-white.

Use this substantial geometric textile to bring layered teal, navy, olive and cream colour to upholstered seating or occasional furniture.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
