About this colour

This shade reads warm and muted, with enough brown in it to feel settled and enough grey to keep it from turning too creamy. In north-facing light it can look a little more stone-like and restrained, while in south-facing rooms the warmer notes come forward and it feels richer without becoming yellow. It lifts light gently rather than reflecting it sharply, so it works well where you want softness on the wall. In Acrylic Eggshell, Elite Emulsion or True Matt, it pairs neatly with walnut, oiled oak, parchment tones and patterned upholstery in earthy reds, olive or ink.

How to use it

Suede suits sitting rooms, bedrooms and panelled studies where a low-key wall colour is needed alongside timber furniture. It works especially well beside darker woodwork, linen curtains and upholstery in moss, rust, chocolate or muted navy.
