About this fabric

The surface is formed from small rectangular and linear marks arranged in an irregular, basket-like field, creating a richly articulated texture across the cloth. Its mercury-grey colouring stays cool and restrained, with darker outlines and shadowed recesses bringing definition to the pale ground. The compact scale reads as an all-over texture rather than a dominant motif, while the visible density gives the fabric a substantial, upholstery-led presence. In changing light, the relief between the raised-looking bars and darker gaps adds subtle movement without shifting the overall neutral mood.

How to use it

Use Eduardo Mercury on a contemporary armchair, sofa or headboard alongside chalky whites, charcoal accents and cool timber tones. Its pale graphite-grey colour is especially effective for adding texture to a calm, monochrome room.

Use this cool grey upholstery on contemporary seating where its dense graphic texture can add depth without introducing a strong colour.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
