Zinc Textile X Mhd 1 Fabric

Ardingly Marine combines a deep marine blue-teal ground with irregular vertical markings in ochre, sand and smoky brown. Its weathered woven surface gives the colourway depth and a distinctly tactile presence.

About this fabric

The close, distressed-looking weave creates a dry, textured appearance, with lighter threads flickering through the darker marine ground. Fine vertical striations run across the design in uneven bands, making the pattern feel organic rather than geometric. The cool teal base is tempered by warm golden-brown and muted tan notes, so it reads as atmospheric rather than stark. No performance features, composition, width or rub-test figures are noted in the supplied specification; its substantial-looking woven character places it in the upholstery category.

How to use it

Use Ardingly Marine on an occasional chair, headboard or tailored sofa where its cool teal depth can anchor a room. Repeat the ochre and smoky brown threads through timber, leather, ceramics or cushions to bring out the warmer flecks in the weave.

Use this deep marine teal with aged timber, warm ochre accents and brushed metal for a richly layered scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
