About Scion

Scion was created in 2012 by the group now called Sanderson Design Group, as a British designed brand drawing on the clean lines of Scandinavian design. Its best known motif is the Mr Fox character, who arrives with Spike and Pedro Penguin.

The design team works from a studio in Leicestershire, and the wallpapers are printed next door to it; the fabrics and wallpapers are printed by teams in the United Kingdom. Scion is one of the brands brought under Sanderson Design Group PLC in 2020, a collective of seven British interior brands and two manufacturing brands: Archive, Clarke and Clarke, Harlequin, Morris and Co, Sanderson, Scion, Zoffany, Anstey Wallpaper Company and Standfast and Barracks.

The brand also offers its own made-to-measure service for curtains, blinds, cushions and headboards.

This is the book we open for a child's room, a snug or a first house, where a room should be cheerful rather than serious. It is also good-natured cloth to work with: the patterns are small enough that a chair does not need a whole extra metre to make a repeat land.
