Stripes Volume 1 FabricBCKRSKY

Backridge Stripe Sky combines a warm linen-beige ground with slender sky-blue stripes that run vertically across the cloth. Its softly flecked weave gives the pale colourway a natural, tactile character.

About this fabric

The background reads as a light, warm beige, with subtle darker threads creating the look of a natural linen weave. Fine sky-blue stripes appear at varied intervals, some edged with paler blue lines that give the vertical pattern gentle movement rather than a rigid, uniform rhythm. The close, even texture looks substantial enough for upholstery while retaining the relaxed appearance suited to curtains and cushions. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use the cool sky-blue lines to bring a quiet coastal note to a warm neutral room, pairing the fabric with pale oak, chalky walls and textured beige upholstery. Its vertical stripe can also add understated height to relaxed curtains or a statement occasional chair.

The softly textured beige ground and cool blue striping suit relaxed upholstery, cushions and easy drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
