Stripes Volume 2 FabricWHTNSLOE

Whitendale Sloe combines cool grey, softened taupe and pale cream in a closely woven vertical stripe. Its finely flecked surface gives the colourway a weathered, quietly layered appearance.

About this fabric

The design is built from alternating narrow and broader vertical bands, with charcoal-grey lines breaking up the lighter taupe and cream ground. The cool grey areas read as slightly smoky, while the taupe sections add a muted warmth without making the overall colourway feel beige. A fine, grainy weave is visible across the swatch, giving the stripes definition without a glossy finish. Its balanced scale and mid-weight-looking construction make it suitable for both upholstery and drapery.

How to use it

Pair Whitendale Sloe with chalky neutrals, aged oak and soft charcoal for a calm, tailored room. On a blind or curtain, its vertical striping will add gentle height; on upholstery, the mixed grey-taupe tones can bridge cool and warm furnishings.

Use this cool, quietly varied stripe to bring tailored texture to upholstery, curtains or blinds.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Whitendale Sloe without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
