About this fabric
The pattern is made from narrow vertical bands rather than broad graphic stripes, creating a controlled rhythm across the cloth. Its liquorice tones read as softened charcoal and near-black, tempered by cream and pale grey threads that prevent the colourway from appearing flat or harsh. The visible weave has a lightly pebbled texture, with small tonal shifts catching the light along the stripe edges. No composition, width, rub-test or performance-feature data has been supplied for this fabric.
How to use it
Use this cool charcoal-and-cream colourway to give a chair, bench or sofa a tailored monochrome look, or let the fine vertical lines add quiet height to curtains. Pair it with chalky neutrals, pale timber and blackened metal for a crisp, textural scheme.
The finely alternating charcoal, black, cream and grey stripes bring tailored contrast to upholstery, cushions or curtains.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Hodder Liquorice without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
