Zaida Cacao

Istoria Fabric

Zaida Cacao is shown here as a deep, warm brown textile with a dense, corded surface. Narrow, irregular bands of muted teal, cream and rust punctuate the dark ground, giving the folds a layered, artisanal character.

About this fabric

The fabric’s surface is defined by fine vertical ribs, creating pronounced changes between light and shadow as it bends. Uneven linear accents run through the brown ground in muted teal, pale cream and rusty copper, adding a hand-worked, graphic quality without overpowering the cacao base. Its substantial-looking woven texture makes it best suited to upholstery, particularly where the surface detail can be appreciated up close. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Zaida Cacao on a statement armchair, bench or occasional cushion where its warm brown depth can anchor a room. Bring out the muted teal and rust accents with aged timber, brushed metal or similarly earthy textiles.

A richly textured dark brown upholstery fabric, enlivened by irregular teal, cream and rust linear accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
