About this fabric

The fabric shows a fine 1.5 cm check in both directions, with dark lines sitting crisply against a taupe-leaning slate background. Subtle variation across the face keeps the grey-brown tone from appearing flat, while the close weave reads as a versatile mid-weight textile. Made from 60% viscose and 40% polyester, it is supplied at 137 cm wide and is suitable for curtains, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Its 45,000 Martindale rub test supports regular upholstery use; care requires professional dry cleaning, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use the warm slate-grey ground to bring definition to a neutral room, particularly on a tailored chair, upholstered headboard or full-length curtain. The fine black check can be picked up in dark wood, ironwork or slim black trim without making the scheme feel stark.
