Anderson Charcoal

Burlington FabricCCF0584-01

Anderson Charcoal pairs a deep, cool charcoal ground with closely spaced ivory pinstripes running vertically across the cloth. Its subtly textured surface gives the dark colour a softly dimensional finish rather than a flat appearance.

About this fabric

This 415gsm fabric has the substantial weight expected of an upholstery cloth, with fine vertical striping that creates a crisp, tailored rhythm. The charcoal tone appears muted and cool, while the ivory lines catch the light against the darker woven-looking ground. A 6cm horizontal pattern repeat keeps the stripe spacing consistent, and there is no vertical repeat. The fabric is supplied at a 144cm usable width and a standard 30m length.

How to use it

Use Anderson Charcoal on a sofa, armchair or dining seat where its cool dark ground can anchor a room without losing definition. Pair it with warm timber, chalky walls and softly coloured cushions to offset the precise ivory striping.

Use the cool charcoal ground and fine ivory striping to bring tailored definition to upholstered seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Anderson Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
