Jaipur Cobalt

Jaipur Chenille FabricCCF0859-10

Jaipur Cobalt is a saturated, cool-toned blue chenille with a softly variegated surface rather than a completely flat colour. Its close woven texture gives the plain design visible depth as the light moves across the swatch.

About this fabric

This plain cobalt colourway reads as deep and energetic, with subtle lighter and darker blue flecks within the chenille pile. At 456gsm, it has a substantial handle suited to upholstery, while the 137cm usable width provides practical coverage for furniture projects. The fabric has no vertical or horizontal pattern repeat, so its uninterrupted blue surface is easy to position across a design. With 69 threads per centimetre and a 35m standard length, Jaipur Cobalt is supplied as a densely textured, generous-width upholstery cloth.

How to use it

Use the cool cobalt tone to sharpen a neutral room, particularly on a curved chair, sofa or footstool where the chenille texture can catch the light. Pair it with warm timber, pale stone and quiet grey textiles to balance its saturated blue depth.

Use this dense cobalt chenille to bring cool, saturated colour and tactile depth to upholstered seating or occasional pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
