Willow Boughs Linen

William Morris Designs FabricCCX0167-04

Willow Boughs Linen is a softly layered botanical fabric with a warm ivory ground and muted taupe foliage. Fine blue-grey stems give the leafy pattern a cooler thread of contrast without disturbing its gentle, natural mood.

About this fabric

The design is formed from curling boughs and pointed leaves in soft taupe-beige, with slender blue-grey branches visible across the pale ground. At 490gsm, this is a substantial textile suited to upholstery, while its 130cm usable width allows the repeating foliage to be planned across a range of furniture shapes. The pattern repeats every 45cm vertically and 28cm horizontally, creating a continuous, medium-scale rhythm rather than a scattered motif. Its low-contrast ivory, taupe and blue-grey palette keeps the detailed botanical surface calm and lightly textured in appearance.

How to use it

Use this colourway on an armchair, headboard or compact sofa where the warm ivory ground can brighten the room while the taupe leaves add quiet definition. Echo the fine blue-grey stems in cushions, painted joinery or small accessories for a cooler counterpoint.

Use this warm ivory and taupe botanical for calm upholstery, pairing it with natural wood, pale neutrals and blue-grey accents.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Willow Boughs Linen without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
