Strawberry Thief PVC Plum

William Morris Designs FabricCCX0166-03

Strawberry Thief PVC Plum brings a softly faded, richly detailed garden pattern to the fabric library, with plum berries and florals woven through dusty blue, sage and ivory tones. The close-set composition has a softly vintage, tapestry-like presence rather than a stark or high-contrast finish.

About this fabric

The design is visibly packed with stylised birds, curling foliage and small floral forms, with muted plum and berry accents sitting alongside powdery blue, sage green, warm ivory and touches of ochre. Its 490gsm weight gives the cloth a substantial upholstery character, while the finely repeated drawing keeps the overall surface intricate rather than oversized. The pattern repeats every 27cm vertically and 23cm horizontally across a 130cm usable width, creating a continuous garden rhythm on furniture. In this Plum colourway, the softened berry notes add depth without overpowering the cooler blue-green ground and pale highlights.

How to use it

Use it to upholster a reading chair, dining seat or compact sofa, pairing the muted plum with chalky walls, aged wood and plain sage or ivory textiles. Its detailed blue-green and berry palette also suits layered, collected rooms where the upholstery can act as the main patterned accent.

Use this substantial 490gsm design on occasional chairs, sofas or footstools, balancing its plum, blue and sage detail with quiet neutrals.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Strawberry Thief PVC Plum without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
