About this fabric

The visible design alternates narrow plum-mauve velvet columns with dark, almost black vertical lines, creating a subtle stripe rather than a flat block colour. Light catches the pile unevenly across each stripe, bringing out smoky mauve warmth against the deeper grape ground. With a weight of 387gsm, this is a substantial velvet suited to upholstery, and its usable width is 143cm. The pattern has a 4.5cm horizontal repeat and no vertical repeat, while the standard length is 40m.

How to use it

Use Rhythm Grape on a sofa, headboard or occasional chair in a room with charcoal, smoked timber and aged-metal accents. The cool, dark plum tone also works as a dramatic counterpoint to dusty blush, muted lilac or warm stone.

Use this deep grape-plum velvet on statement seating, where its dark vertical striations can add height and a richly tactile finish.
