Vienna Orchid
Vienna FabricCCF0140-17
Vienna Orchid is a quietly distinctive mauve textile with a cool orchid cast and a finely irregular woven surface. Its softly mottled appearance gives the solid colour gentle depth rather than a flat, printed finish.

About this fabric
The 490gsm cloth has a close crosshatch texture, with subtle vertical and horizontal yarn variation visible across the dusty orchid-mauve ground. The colour sits between muted purple and softened pink, reading cool and restrained rather than bright or sugary. With a 140cm usable width, a 40m standard length and no vertical or horizontal pattern repeat, it offers straightforward cutting for upholstery projects. The substantial weight and tightly textured surface make it particularly well suited to upholstered furniture.
How to use it
Pair this cool orchid-mauve with chalky neutrals, aged timber or brushed metal for a composed scheme. On a chair, headboard or sofa, its softly varied weave adds colour and texture without competing with patterned cushions.
Use this softly muted orchid-mauve weave to bring depth to upholstered seating without introducing a visible motif.

Pairs well with
Vienna Orchid is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
