About this fabric

The 490gsm weight gives this plain fabric a substantial, dense handle suited to upholstery. Fine horizontal and vertical yarns create a restrained grid-like texture, while slight tonal variation keeps the claret surface from appearing flat. There is no pattern repeat vertically or horizontally, making the cloth straightforward to position on furniture. The usable width is 140cm and the standard length is 40m.

How to use it

Use Vienna Claret on a tailored armchair, sofa or dining seat where its deep wine-red tone can act as the room’s strongest colour note. Pair it with warm timber, aged brass and soft neutrals to balance the saturated shade without hiding its woven texture.
