About this fabric

Part of the Anna collection by Manuel Canovas, Greta Saphir is a fabric with a 138cm approximate width and a large repeat of V 53cm / H 46cm. The composition is 65% viscose and 35% cotton, giving the cloth a refined woven handle with a slightly matte, textile-rich surface. In this colourway the medallion motifs read in deep sapphire and indigo against airy pale blue and ivory, so the pattern feels bright rather than heavy. The contrast is clean and cool, with the light ground helping the scrollwork stand out clearly across the surface.

How to use it

Use Greta Saphir where you want pattern without warmth: it works especially well on upholstered dining chairs, occasional seating or relaxed curtains. The cool blue ground pairs neatly with pale woods, chalky whites and brushed metal finishes.

The crisp blue-and-ivory palette gives this woven damask a fresh, tailored feel for either curtains or statement upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
