Planas Ciel

Planas Ciel shows a scrolling damask-style motif in a washed denim blue against a pale ground. The pattern feels airy but decorative, with a crisp repeat that gives the design a tailored, classic look.

About this fabric

This fabric is woven in a 55% cotton, 35% polyester and 10% viscose blend, with a width of approximately 136cm and a repeat of V 65cm / H 68cm approx. The visible ground is a light ivory or cream, which makes the blue motif read fresh, cool and slightly faded rather than strong or saturated. Each leaf-like form is packed with curling ornament, giving the design a textural, almost brocade-like character even from the flat swatch image. With no performance finish noted and care code Q 8 + T 3, it reads as a decorative furnishing fabric rather than a hard-working plain.

How to use it

Use this blue-and-cream colourway to bring pattern into a room without darkening it, especially on curtains, occasional chairs or paired cushions. It sits well with painted whites, pale oak and muted navy accents, where the soft denim tone feels refined rather than stark.

Pair with chalky neutrals and warm woods to let the blue motif stand out cleanly.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
