Stowe Stripe Red

Camber Stripes FabricJ0260-03

Stowe Stripe Red presents as a neat, vertical stripe with a soft dusty red running through a pale ivory ground. The narrow repeat gives it a tailored look that feels orderly rather than bold.

About this fabric

From the Camber Stripes collection by Jane Churchill, this fabric is composed of 80% cotton and 20% polyester and measures approximately 138cm wide. The stripe is finely scaled, with a vertical repeat of about 5cm, so the design reads as crisp and regular across the cloth. In this colourway, the red is muted and slightly chalky, sitting somewhere between rose and brick, which keeps the overall effect warm but restrained. The pale ground lifts the stripe and gives the fabric a clean, airy feel that suits a classic interior. With its cotton-rich handle and balanced composition, it works well where a smart decorative fabric is needed.

How to use it

Use it on dining chairs, blinds or a neat armchair where the small stripe can add rhythm without overpowering the room. It pairs especially well with oatmeal linen, painted wood and aged brass, which flatter the fabric’s soft red tone.

Pair with warm neutrals or dark wood for a crisp, tailored scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
