Masai Nutmeg

Kuba FabricL9470-07

Masai Nutmeg shows Kuba’s leaf-like pattern in a deep, warm nutmeg gold with a softly lustrous surface. The raised texture catches the light unevenly, giving the design a dry, velvety richness.

About this fabric

This colourway reads as a muted golden brown rather than a bright yellow, with earthy nutmeg tones that sit close to caramel and antique brass. The pattern has a directional, feathered rhythm that feels tactile and slightly embossed across the cloth. Made from 63% viscose and 37% cotton, it combines a soft handle with enough substance for upholstered use, and the 141cm width gives useful coverage for larger pieces. The approximate repeat of V 53cm / H 35cm means the motif has clear scale and will show well on statement seating or panels. Q 8 < T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Masai Nutmeg on a pared-back armchair or banquette where its warm, burnished tone can stand out against oak, tobacco leather or chalky walls. It also works well in rooms that need a little depth without going too dark, especially alongside bronze accents and natural textures.

A warm, textured gold that brings depth and a confident tailored feel to upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Masai Nutmeg without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
