About this fabric

Rosalind Gold from the Olander collection by Colefax and Fowler is a fabric with a repeat of V 39cm / H 33cm approx and a width of 132cm approx. Its composition is 33% Cotton, 31% Linen, 28% Viscose, 8% Polyester, giving the surface a natural-looking cloth body with a gentle, softly brushed handle in the image. The colourway combines a muted golden blossom trail with cool grey leaves, and the pale background keeps the pattern feeling open and fresh. The overall effect is elegant and understated, with the gold reading more antique honey than bright yellow. The fabric would suit drapery especially well, with enough presence to dress a room while still letting the pattern breathe.

How to use it

Use this colourway at windows where the soft gold detail can glow against daylight, especially in bedrooms or sitting rooms. It layers easily with warm neutrals, weathered wood and brushed metal finishes.

A pale ground with delicate gold garlands and soft grey leaves for an elegant, light-filled finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
