About this fabric

This colourway of Olander from Colefax and Fowler shows a large, scrolling floral repeat with stylised blossoms, leaves and trailing stems on a warm cream ground. The palette mixes tomato red, soft olive, mustard gold and pale blue, giving the pattern a fresh but traditional look that reads brighter than a muted herbaceous scheme. With a repeat of approximately V 79cm / H 66cm and a width of approximately 134cm, it is a substantial patterned fabric that has room to show its full motif. The composition of 46% Polyester, 28% Linen and 26% Cotton gives it the character of a furnishing cloth with a natural-looking surface and a neat handle. Care code Q 8 + W 3 and fire code K are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use it on upholstered occasional chairs, cushions or relaxed curtains where the cream ground can lift a room and the red and olive accents can be echoed in smaller details. It works especially well with painted timber, aged brass and plain linens in warm white or soft stone.

Use on statement upholstery or curtains where the lively colours can sit against a calm neutral scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
