About this fabric

This plain weave colourway has a quietly tailored feel, with the warm beige tone sitting lightly across the cloth rather than appearing flat or chalky. The fabric is made up of 31% cotton, 23% viscose, 21% linen, 16% polyester and 9% acrylic, which helps explain its balanced hand and softly natural texture. With no repeat and an approximate width of 146cm, it is straightforward to plan for upholstery or drapery projects. The overall effect is muted and versatile, with enough tonal depth to add warmth without dominating a room.

How to use it

Use this sand shade to soften upholstered chairs, banquettes or headboards, especially alongside oak, pale plaster and textured neutrals. It also works well for curtains where a restrained, sun-warmed beige is needed rather than a strong cream.

A warm neutral that works neatly on seating or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
