About this fabric
This Olney fabric from Colefax and Fowler is composed of 49% viscose, 35% cotton, 9% linen and 7% polyester, giving the cloth a refined handle and a softly textured finish. The repeat is small at approximately V 1cm / H 4cm, which keeps the herringbone close and crisp across the surface. In this colourway, the blue is muted and slightly aged, reading cooler than a classic navy and lighter than denim, with the fine weave allowing the tone to shift subtly in the light. At approximately 138cm wide, it is a versatile fabric for coordinated interior schemes, and the √BM fire code is supplied for this exact cloth.
How to use it
Use Bracken Old Blue on a neatly upholstered chair, banquette or headboard where the small herringbone can read clearly at close range. It also suits curtains with a tailored finish, especially alongside chalk white, soft grey or pale natural timber.
