About this fabric

This Olander fabric by Colefax and Fowler is woven in a 62% linen, 30% polyester, 8% viscose composition with a width of approximately 130cm and a vertical repeat of 20cm and horizontal repeat of 26cm. The design reads as a soft, powdery blue stripe, broken by warm taupe-gold leaves and a fine grey-blue stem, giving the pattern a gentle contrast rather than a bold stripe. The linen content helps the cloth keep its relaxed, natural character, while the polyester and viscose lend a smoother, more dependable finish for everyday use. With its light colour and orderly repeat, it feels crisp and airy rather than heavy or formal.

How to use it

Use it for full-length curtains, Roman blinds or cushioned slipcovers where the pale blue stripe can brighten the room without dominating it. It works especially well with chalk white paint, pale oak and muted brass details.

A crisp, airy stripe that suits tailored curtains and relaxed coastal schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
