About this fabric
Woven in 58% Linen, 38% Viscose and 4% Polyester, this fabric has the light, airy handle you would expect from a sheer, with enough structure to show the large scrolling damask clearly. The old blue ground is muted and slightly misty, while the pattern catches the light in a warmer ivory-beige tone that gives the surface a subtle two-tone depth. At approximately 129cm wide, it is well suited to fuller window treatments where the vertical flow of the cloth can be appreciated. The repeat is V 65cm / H 33cm approx, so the sweeping motifs have room to open out across curtains and blinds rather than feeling crowded.
How to use it
Use it for elegant curtains in a room with pale oak, limestone or painted joinery, where the cool blue and softened metallic-like pattern can lift the scheme without overpowering it. It also works beautifully layered over a plain blind to let the damask read as a delicate, decorative veil.
Pair with pale woods and chalky neutrals to let the scroll pattern and silvery sheen feel airy.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Fernley Old Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
