Kendal Forest Green

Olander FabricF3217-02

Kendal Forest Green shows a painterly botanical design with broad leafy sprays and fern-like stems set against a pale ground. The greens range from deep forest notes to softer sage and blue-green highlights, giving the fabric a fresh but grounded look.

About this fabric

This Olander fabric combines 52% linen, 36% cotton and 12% nylon, and the cloth reads as a decorative mid-weight rather than a plain utility weave. The repeated foliage motif is shown in a generous vertical and horizontal repeat of approximately 55.5cm by 69cm, which suits the open, trailing rhythm of the design. In this colourway, the darker greens give the leaves more definition while the paler sage and cool aqua accents keep the overall effect airy on the cream ground. The visible surface feels crisp and textile-rich, with enough substance to suit curtains and lighter upholstery schemes alike, subject to the appropriate making-up and use.

How to use it

Use it where you want a green that feels refined rather than heavy: it will sit well with pale painted joinery, oak, or rattan. The cooler forest tone also works nicely with linen neutrals and soft blue accents.

Pair with quiet neutrals and natural wood so the leafy pattern can stay the focus.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Kendal Forest Green without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
