About this fabric

Woven in 100% Solu Dyed Polyester, this Jane Churchill fabric is made for outdoor use and measures approximately 138cm wide, with a repeat of V 10cm / H 10cm approx. The swatch shows a soft light-grey ground crossed by narrow charcoal vertical and horizontal lines, creating a tidy check with a quiet, matte finish. Its tone reads cool rather than warm, with just enough contrast to keep the pattern visible without feeling busy. The texture appears lightly textured and practical, suited to a fabric that needs to work hard while still looking refined. Care code C 7 9 T 3 and fire code K are supplied for this exact colourway.

How to use it

Use this charcoal check to bring structure to pale outdoor cushions, banquettes or occasional chairs. It pairs especially well with concrete, black metal and weathered timber for a restrained modern scheme.

A neat charcoal grid that feels crisp and understated for indoor-outdoor seating or relaxed curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Otto Check Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
